Grampa at Christmas

My favourite part of the holidays is seeing Grampa. He wasn't feeling very well this year. I sensed this, so while I was up on the bed with him, I nudged my head right up on his chest. Anji and Matt were both struck by the way I was laying on him and how I was looking up at him. Matt took this picture and Anji had tears in her eyes.

I'm very lucky, this is the third office in a row that has allowed pooches. Hopefully the corporate world is coming around to the proven facts that having dog(s) in the office increases morale, and productivity too!

Hardest working dog in social media

You may think that the life of an office dog is all glitz and glamour... but I have to tell you, it's not that easy!

I have a long list of duties, including but not limited to:

soothing stressed out employees
keeping guard
helping with powerpoint presentations
schmoozing outside with the smokers
keeping employees alert with the odd toot
helping out in meetings
helping employees get exercise by encouraging them to throw the ball, then not chasing after it so they have to go get it again
helping employees with their lunch
clearing the floor of all crumbs

I mean seriously, the list goes on! I am the hardest working dog in social marketing.

Everyone else in the office works hard too and I think they should take my example by having regular naps. It would do them a lot of good.

Speaking of the White House, Obama has apparently narrowed his choice to two breeds: Labradoodle and Portuguese Water Dog. Now, I used to run a pet business and since these are very trendy breeds I have a bit of experience with them and I just have two words to say about it - HIGH STRUNG or alternatively GOOD LUCK. No, I'm not bitter because they aren't choosing a Boston Terrier, I just know from experience that these two breeds can be a handful. Luckily the Obamas can afford the best trainers... they may need it. The other disappointing thing about it is that they are not going to find either of these breeds at a shelter or rescue group.

Ruby and I are excited the show is finally underway however we are deeply disappointed that Ezzie the Boston Terrier was sent home. BOOOOOOOO. In true cheeky Boston style Ezzie barfed on the host and stole another contestant's skateboard! Despite this, she seriously was not the worst contestant and did not deserve to be eliminated.
