A day in the life of Ruby

I have to tell you, nothing excites me more than receiving the All-Mighty newsletter especially when it announces new products!!! They have a bunch of new T shirts with illustrations by Daniele Young! If you're not familiar with her work you should definitely check it out. I love love love the Karaoke designs and the Life on Mars shirt is too cute!

Out there in space is a planet where Bostons roam free. Their society is much more civilized than our own. They are master scientists, astrologers, philosophers AND they really do have flying cars. I like to imagine a gang of hover boarding doggie aliens and the day they come to earth and abduct me.

And just look at the Boston ballerina coming soon. Oh mama I'm gonna have an All-Mighty shirt for every day of the week!

Which one's your fave?

On his third attempt, a giant schnauzer named Philippe was named best in show at Crufts, the "world's greatest dog-show".

His delighted owner, Kevin Cullen, from St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, said: "I cannot believe it. It's an absolute dream. He never lets me down. It means the world to me, it really does."

Way to go Philippe!

I can say from experience that there is nothing worse than that panicky feeling you get when your pet has somehow gotten away from you. When I was a kid I had a cat that escaped the house and never came back. Yes, I am still traumatized. So on the few occasions when my current kitties have gone missing, or that time last summer when Ruby escaped through the fence at the off-leash park - I've freaked right out, imagining the worst possible scenarios. If any of my pets went missing I would definitely consider hiring a private pet detective. An interesting article came up on Reuters.

Driving around in vehicles resembling police cars with the words "Missing Pet Search Team" emblazoned across the front, Watkins and his uniformed team are available for hire to crack the trickier cases of animals gone missing or even stolen.

This is such a great idea. I would even add it to my company's list of services however I don't think Ruby would make such a good sniffer dog.

In case you don't have a private pet detective in your area, here are some tips from "Canada's leader in lost pet recovery", Pet Detective Inc.

Would you hire a private pet detective?

Check out the Inventorspot 2008 St. Patrick’s Day dog costume winners.

Your dog may have Irish ancestry, be Irish by acquisition, or may just want to down a few with his pals at the dog park.

We LOVE the tattoo inspired Lucky Dog denim jacket with soft cotton lycra lining and faux Sherpa trim (pictured).

Ruby has already been seen around town in the Zoe's Collection Lucky Clover collar.

Cheers!
